Rachel Knight and her sister Michelle grew up in a beautiful island called Singapore. They spent many lazy summers chasing dragonflies and saving the world from evil kungfu masters. Although her superhero career path didn't quite pan out, Knight still managed to pursue a highly satisfying profession in magazine publishing.

In 2006, Knight started Wishing Tree because she wanted to create a line of classic toys that are safe and eco friendly. As an editor of a popular pregnancy magazine, she was alarmed when she came across several research that highlighted the potential dangers of chemicals, such as phthalates, in plastic toys. Studies have linked phthalates with an increased risk of asthma, cancer and damage to the reproductive system.

Wishing Tree Toys are made from natural, chemical-free basswood. Basswood is a fast-growing, renewable resource that's great for the environment.

Wishing Tree Toys have been featured in Fit Pregnancy, Vegetarian Times, East West, Apartment Therapy: Nursery, Apartment Therapy: Los Angeles, and Design Watcher

Wishing Tree is now available at Craftsbury Kids.
